Counted from a Mithun Moon; dates in India (IST)
31 October 2026, 12:03 PM to 25 January 2027, 1:31 AM
the house of effort Hard
Effort brings slower reward than usual; a stretch of small moves, short trips and changes of place.
Phaladeepika 26.18 (one verse for Guru in the 1st to 4th houses), on the 3rd, not one of its good houses: It warns of a setback in position, separation from friends, obstacles to business and illness during this transit, as the text's caution for the period.
25 January 2027, 1:31 AM to 26 June 2027, 5:19 AM
the house of wealth and family Favourable
Money, family and speech are blessed — savings grow, the family gathers, and your word carries weight.
Guru is in Kark (Cancer) in this stretch, its sign of exaltation (uchcha), where the classical texts hold it is at its strongest.
Held back on 50 of its 152 days (vedha), while another graha stands in your 12th house, the house that blocks this good transit (Phaladeepika 26.7): Budh 7 May to 23 May; Surya 16 May to 15 June; Shukra 4 June to 25 June.
Phaladeepika 26.18 (one verse for Guru in the 1st to 4th houses), on the 2nd, one of its good houses: It promises financial gain and domestic happiness during this transit, and says the person's words carry weight with others.
26 June 2027, 5:19 AM to 26 November 2027, 6:45 PM
the house of effort Hard
The reading of that stay above holds again.
26 November 2027, 6:45 PM to 28 February 2028, 7:17 PM
the house of home and mother Hard
Home and peace of mind ask for care; property matters, a move or repairs at home are likely.
After 28 February 2028, Guru moves into Singh (Leo), your 3rd house, the house of effort.
Phaladeepika 26.18 (one verse for Guru in the 1st to 4th houses), on the 4th, not one of its good houses: It speaks of sorrow through relatives, humiliation, and a caution about danger to one's livestock or other property during this transit.
Guru is vakri from 13 December 2026 to 13 April 2027, turning in Singh, your 3rd house, and moving back into Kark, your 2nd house. A vakri graha seems to move backwards from the Earth; the texts hold it gains strength (cheshta bala) and that its stay repeats a house it had left. More on vakri
Guru asta: from 17 August 2027 to 14 September 2027 Guru is too close to the Sun to be seen. Families do not fix a wedding, griha pravesh or mundan in these days. Marriage muhurats

108 times on Thursday, with a daan of chana dal and turmeric. Guru is the graha of wisdom and blessing; the japa and daan strengthen what it gives.
Phaladeepika reads these transits from the natal Chandra (Moon), counting each house from its rashi. It counts Guru (Jupiter) good in transit through the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th houses from the Moon; Shani (Saturn) good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th; and Rahu and Ketu, whose effect it likens to the Sun's, good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th. Elsewhere, it adds, their transit calls for more care.
Phaladeepika says a graha transiting an unfavourable house does no harm if it is then in its exaltation or own rashi, and gives its full good results if it is also in a favourable house. The same graha transiting a favourable house gives nothing if it is in debilitation, an enemy's rashi or eclipsed; and if the house is also unfavourable, it gives its bad results in a sharper form.
Phaladeepika 26.1, 26.2, 26.31, 26.32. The stays and their tone are the same ones our yearly rashifal reads.
Shani 2027: until 3 June in your 10th (mixed); from 3 June to 20 October in your 11th (favourable); from 20 October in your 10th (mixed).
Rahu 2027: all year in your 8th (hard).
Ketu 2027: all year in your 2nd (hard).
Mixed is the rashifal’s middle step, between favourable and hard: what helps and what hinders weigh about the same.
