reads the chart, not the sign

What it actually is

not a horoscope bot

An AI astrologer is a program that casts your birth chart first and answers second. That is the whole distinction. A horoscope app knows your sun sign — one of twelve buckets. An AI astrologer knows your lagna, which planet rules it, where all nine grahas sat at the minute you were born, and which dasha you are running today.

On this site the chart is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris, sidereal, Lahiri ayanamsa. That part is arithmetic: it is either right or wrong, and it can be checked against any panchang you like. What the astrologer then says about the chart is interpretation, and this site is careful about the difference — see is an AI astrologer accurate.

How a question gets answered

four steps, in order
1
Your birth details become a chartDate, time and place. The place gives latitude and longitude, which is what the houses need; the time is converted to UTC before anything is computed.
2
The chart is read, not summarisedLagna and its lord, the twelve bhavas, every graha with its sign, nakshatra and retrogression, the current mahadasha and antardasha, and today’s transits against all of it.
3
A specialist takes the question24 of them, each with a domain — marriage, career, money, health, remedies, muhurat. You pick; they are not interchangeable.
4
You are billed for the minutes you usedFrom a wallet, at a rate shown before you start. No subscription, and nothing is charged while you are reading.

What it does well, and what it does not

both halves
It is good at
  • Being available. Three in the morning, any day.
  • Holding the whole chart at once. It does not forget that your Saturn is retrograde while answering about your seventh house.
  • Being asked to show its working. It is given the yogas the chart forms, so "which combination are you reading" is a question it can answer from the chart rather than from a general description.
  • Not selling you a gemstone. There is no commission on a remedy here.
  • Costing minutes rather than a consultation fee.
It is not good at
  • Reading you. It cannot hear the pause before you answer, and a good astrologer works with that.
  • Refusing. A person will sometimes say "not today". Ask it anything and it will attempt an answer.
  • Ritual. It cannot perform a puja or sit with a family through one.
  • Chart rectification. If your birth time is wrong, no amount of conversation will find the right one.
  • Volunteering doubt. It will attempt an answer rather than decline, so if you want to know how firm a reading is, ask — and see the accuracy page.

Common questions

3 questions
What is an AI astrologer?

A program that casts your birth chart and then answers questions about it in conversation. On CosmiqeAI the chart is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris in the sidereal zodiac using the Lahiri ayanamsa — the same arithmetic a jyotishi uses — and the astrologer reads that chart rather than your sun sign.

Is there a free AI astrologer?

The chart, the dashas, the panchang and the calculators are free and need no account. Talking to one of the 24 astrologers is paid by the minute from a wallet, with the rate shown before the conversation starts.

Does it use my actual birth chart?

Yes. Date, time and place of birth produce a lagna, twelve houses, planetary positions and a Vimshottari dasha timeline, and the astrologer is given all of it. Without a birth time the chart has no reliable lagna or houses, and the pages say so rather than guessing one.

The chart is cast before anybody answers you.

Pick a specialist, ask in your own words, and pay for the minutes you use. The rate is on screen before the first one.
