The two names are joined, every letter tallied, and those tallies folded in pairs until two numbers remain. Those two digits are the percentage. Nothing about either person enters the calculation, which is why swapping a nickname for a full name changes the answer completely.
Which is why the order matters
The names are joined in the order you type them, so the tally runs differently and the fold can land somewhere else. Try it both ways. If one couple can get two different answers, you know how seriously to take it.
It cannot return 100
The result is capped at 99 and floors at 50 when the fold produces nothing usable. There is no perfect score to chase, which is fine for a game.
