The rule
6 houses, 3 reference pointsMangal dosha — "manglik" — is Mars in house 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 or 12. That is the whole rule, and it is why the answer is checkable rather than a matter of opinion.
Counted from where, though, is the part accounts disagree on. This site checks all three references the classical texts use — Lagna, Moon, Venus — and reports each separately, because a chart can be manglik from the Moon and not from the lagna, and a site that checks only one will tell you the opposite of a site that checks another.

This matters more than the rule does. Being "manglik" is common, cancellation is common, and the combination means a raw yes from a calculator is not an answer — which is why the calculator on this site reports the cancellations it found rather than a verdict.

Am I manglik?
It depends only on where Mars sits, which needs your birth date, time and place. The free calculator gives the house from all three references and lists any cancellation that applies.
Does Mangal dosha get cancelled?
Often. This site’s engine checks 16 conditions — Mars in its own sign, exalted or debilitated, Jupiter conjunct or aspecting Mars, Venus in a kendra, Mars as yogakaraka, and others. A yes without the cancellations checked is half an answer.
Can a manglik marry a non-manglik?
The folk rule that two manglik charts cancel out is widely repeated. It is not among the conditions this site’s calculator checks, which are all about Mars’s own position and aspects in a single chart — so we will not tell you it applies. What to do about a marriage is a conversation, not a lookup.
