Rahu in the 4th, Ketu in the 10th
Shankhpal is Kaal Sarp with Rahu in the 4th house (mother, home and property) and Ketu in the 10th (career and standing). It forms only when all seven grahas sit on one side of that line. Kaal Sarp and Kal Sarpa are two spellings of the same dosha.

With Rahu in the 4th, tradition reads a pull between mother, home and property on Rahu’s side and career and standing on Ketu’s: one end wants more, the other lets go. It is felt most in the Rahu and Ketu dashas, and it is read with the whole kundli, never alone.
