Mantra, daan, vrat, ratna, rudraksha and the Lal Kitab upay for Shukra in each bhava, each with the reason it is given.
These are suggestions, not prescriptions. The tradition turns to them when Shukra is weak or troubled in a kundli, or when its dasha or a hard transit is running. Your kundli says which applies to you.
The graha’s seed sound. Chanted with a steady count, it is the oldest way to strengthen what Shukra stands for: love, marriage and comforts. Begin on Friday and keep the same time and count each day until the full count is done.
ॐ द्रां द्रीं द्रौं सः शुक्राय नमः
Om Draam Dreem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah
A short mantra of Shukra’s own name, for those who would rather pray than count. The deity worshipped for Shukra is Goddess Lakshmi.
ॐ शुक्राय नमः
Om Shukraya Namah · 108 times
Give what belongs to Shukra, on its day, to someone who needs it. Lal Kitab and the Parashari tradition both count it the gentlest upay.
A fast on Friday, kept for Lakshmi or Santoshi Ma, steadies the mind and eases Shukra’s troubles.
A ratna strengthens Shukra, so it helps only when Shukra is good for your lagna, that is, when it rules houses that work well for that lagna. Wear it only after the kundli is checked: for some lagnas the same stone does harm.
A rudraksha carries none of a ratna’s risk; it is worn to keep Shukra calm and steady. A bead’s deity goes with its mukhi (the number of lines), so it can differ from the deity worshipped for Shukra above.
Lal Kitab gives a different upay for each bhava, because Shukra does different things from each. Use the one for the house it occupies in your kundli. A pakka ghar is the house Lal Kitab treats as a graha’s permanent home.
