What each graha rules, the rashis where it is strong and weak, its friends, the houses it looks at, and its upay.

Exalted: where a graha is at its strongest; debilitated: the rashi opposite, where it is weakest. Moolatrikona: a stretch of a rashi, between own and exalted in strength. Rahu and Ketu are counted lords of no house for a lagna; their rashis are the ones BPHS gives them (47.34), and some sages take Kanya and Meen as their own instead.
Neutral (sam): neither friend nor enemy. The table is Parashara’s, for the seven grahas. Rahu and Ketu are read by the rashi they sit in and that rashi’s lord; texts differ on their friendships.
Drishti (aspect) is a graha’s glance. The house it looks at feels its influence, for good or ill, as if the graha sat there with less force.

Rahu and Ketu are given the 5th and 9th besides the 7th, as Guru is, by many astrologers; not every text agrees.
The nine grahas of Vedic astrology: Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budh (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu and Ketu. Rahu and Ketu are the two points where the Moon’s path crosses the Sun’s, and are read like grahas.
Surya in Mesh (Aries); Chandra in Vrishabh (Taurus); Mangal in Makar (Capricorn); Budh in Kanya (Virgo); Guru in Kark (Cancer); Shukra in Meen (Pisces); Shani in Tula (Libra). For Rahu and Ketu the texts differ; the kundli here follows Vrishabh (Taurus) for Rahu and Vrishchik (Scorpio) for Ketu.
Sunday, Surya; Monday, Chandra; Tuesday, Mangal; Wednesday, Budh; Thursday, Guru; Friday, Shukra; Saturday, Shani. Rahu is worshipped on Saturday and Ketu on Tuesday.
