The third quarter of Jyeshtha: a Aquarius navamsa, naam akshar Yi, and a birth that starts in Budh’s mahadasha with 8.5 years to 4.3 years of it left.
Jyeshtha pada 3 is the third 3°20′ of Jyeshtha, 23°20′ Scorpio – 26°40′ Scorpio, in Scorpio. A Moon here is named by the syllable Yi and falls in a Aquarius navamsa.
Gand Mool nakshatra. Jyeshtha is one of the six Gand Mool nakshatras; many families keep a Mool shanti for a birth in any of its padas, though the junction pada is read as the stronger.
Gand Mool are the six nakshatras on the seams where a water sign gives way to a fire sign: Ashwini, Magha and Mula, ruled by Ketu, and Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati, ruled by Budh. The Mool shanti is traditionally done on the 27th day after birth, when the Moon returns to the birth nakshatra.
Jyeshtha in Brihat Jataka (16.10) Brihat Jataka says a person born with the Moon in Jyeshtha is cheerful and virtuous but quick to anger, and has few friends. (Chapter 16 reads several nakshatras in each verse, one after another.) The text reads the nakshatra as a whole; the pada refines it through its navamsa, below.
Jyeshtha gives the Moon its nature through Budh; pada 3 sends it into a Aquarius navamsa, ruled by Shani. The navamsa (D9) is the chart read for marriage and for the strength behind a placement, so in this pada Shani colours what Jyeshtha gives.
By natural friendship Shani counts Budh a friend, and Budh counts Shani neutral, so the navamsa neither helps nor hinders much.
The pada tradition reads each quarter by its navamsa’s element: an air navamsa makes this a Kama pada, turned towards desire, relationships and enjoyment.
Almost no Hindi names begin with Yi (यी). Families then often choose a name that begins with the nearest sound, or one of the nakshatra’s other syllables, and use Yi in the namkaran rite itself.

A Moon in Jyeshtha starts life in the mahadasha of Budh, 17 years in all. How much is left at birth depends on how far the Moon had gone: at the start of pada 3 it is 8.5 years, at its end 4.3 years.
A suggestion, as your faith allows: the grahas this pada answers to, each on its own day.
18 January 1985, 05:00, Jaipur: the Moon at 25.62° Scorpio, in Jyeshtha pada 3, with Scorpio rising. The engine gives 5 years, 7 months, 0 days of Budh’s mahadasha left at birth.
In the 8,349 real births the site’s figures are counted on, 0.99% had the Moon in this pada, about one in 101.
Yi (यी). A child born with the Moon in this pada is traditionally given a name beginning with it.
Rashi Scorpio, navamsa Aquarius. It runs 23°20′ Scorpio to 26°40′ Scorpio.
Budh, with 8.5 years to 4.3 years of its 17 years left at birth, depending on the Moon’s exact degree.
Jyeshtha is a Gand Mool nakshatra, though this is not its junction pada. The six, and when the shanti is done, are explained above.
It needs a birth time, because the Moon crosses a nakshatra in about a day. The free kundli gives you the nakshatra, the pada and the dasha that follows from it.
