Parashara reads Ketu’s antardasha in Chandra’s mahadasha by where Ketu sits, counted from the lagna and from Chandra, and by what it rules; your kundli shows which line is yours, and though the text speaks of a man, its results apply to anyone.
When it goes well
- When Ketu is strong and is in a kendra (the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house), a trikona (the 1st, 5th or 9th house) or the 3rd house, BPHS gives gains of wealth, enjoyment, happiness for spouse and children, and a religious bent.BPHS 53.47–48
- When Ketu is strong and is in a kendra (the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th place), or in the 9th, 5th or 11th, counted from Chandra, the lord of the mahadasha, BPHS gives gains of wealth, livestock and the like.BPHS 53.49–49½
When it is hard
- When Ketu is in the 8th or 12th from Chandra, the lord of the mahadasha, or receives the drishti (aspect) of, or is joined with, malefic grahas (the harsh planets), BPHS warns of obstacles in ventures through the interference of enemies, and of quarrels.BPHS 53.50–52

BPHS 53.50–52How it unfolds: When Ketu is strong in a kendra, a trikona or the 3rd house, there is some loss of wealth at the start of the antardasha, and all is well after it. When Ketu is strong in a kendra, or the 9th, 5th or 11th from Chandra, there is a loss of wealth towards its end. BPHS 53.47–49½
