Parashara reads Chandra’s antardasha in Rahu’s mahadasha by where Chandra sits, counted from the lagna and from Rahu, and by what it rules; your kundli shows which line is yours, and though the text speaks of a man, its results apply to anyone.
When it goes well
- When Chandra (Moon) is exalted, in her own sign, or in a kendra (the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house), a trikona (the 1st, 5th or 9th house) or the 11th house; or Chandra is in a friendly sign and receives the drishti (aspect, a graha's glance) of benefics (the naturally kind grahas), BPHS gives a rise to authority, respect from those in power, gains of wealth, good health, clothes and jewellery. It also gives happiness from children, comfortable vehicles, and more house and land.BPHS 55.68–70
- When Chandra (Moon) is in the 5th or 9th house, in a kendra (the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house), or in the 11th house, counted from Rahu, the mahadasha lord (ruler of the main period), BPHS gives the grace of Goddess Lakshmi, success all round, more wealth and grain, a good name and the worship of the deities.BPHS 55.71–72
When it is hard
- When Chandra (Moon) is without strength and in the 6th, 8th or 12th house counted from Rahu, the mahadasha lord (ruler of the main period), BPHS warns of disturbance at home and in farming from evil spirits, leopards and other wild animals, danger from thieves on journeys, and stomach trouble.BPHS 55.73–75
